Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,

Thank you for supporting the school’s online learning environment for your child or yourself.

In our August 11, 2020 communication to you, we stated that in December we would decide whether we could move to in-class instruction beginning in January or continue with the online learning. Based on the current rising COVID-19 cases, the Board of Directors has decided (ahead of schedule) that we will continue with online learning through to the end of the school year in June. The safety of the students and staff members is our priority, and we feel this decision best reduces the risk of spreading COVID-19 among our school community, while still being able to provide our school’s programming for our students.

We appreciate your patience and support as we continue to navigate together the challenges that come with the pandemic. Please feel free to direct any questions you may have to our principal Tomoko Suzuki at [email protected].

*Parents: Please note that details regarding homework/handout pick-up will be emailed to you by the school and your child’s teacher in December.

生徒、保護者の皆様には引き続きご支援をいただき誠にありがとうございます。

２０２０年８月１１日付けのお知らせで、２０２１年１月からの授業を教室で行うのか、もしくはオンライン授業を継続するかの決定を１２月にお伝えすると申し上げました。

現在新型コロナウイルス（COVID-19）の感染の拡大の厳しい状況を考え、今年度６月まではオンライン授業を続ける事を理事会で決定しました。

オンラインで授業をすることで、生徒の皆様そしてスタッフの安全を優先にし、また日本語学校でのウイルス感染のリスクを出さないことが最善策と考えます。

パンデミックの状況が続くなか、皆様のご支援に大変感謝しております。今後とも何かご質問がありましたら、校長、鈴木知子[email protected]までご連絡ください。

＊保護者の皆様：　１月からの宿題などのプリント類については、１２月に学校と担任教師からメールで連絡させていただきます。
